My Story
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl who was lining up her dolls in rows in order to "have school." My first foray into teaching was when I was just 16 years old as I began to teach the piano.
When my oldest child turned 5 years old in 1999, I started to home educate her. I did not plan to homeschool her for the entirety of her school years, but that is what happened. By the time 2019 rolled around, I had completed 20 years of home education with my four children. I also taught other homeschooled students during this time and concluded my time in home education by taking on the roll of principal of a small private school in Napa, CA.

I have been a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center of Napa Valley as well as an ESL teacher with Canal Alliance (San Rafael, CA). In addition to my B.A. in Spanish (Linguistics) from Sonoma State University, I received my M.A. in English-TESOL from San Francisco State University in May 2021. I am currently working at Amerigo Education, Napa Valley Campus as their English Language Learning Coordinator.
